Stefan began performing at 5 when his hyperactivity was wisely channeled into dance lessons, leading to his first role as the front end of a tap dancing cow. At 9, he was the lead child actor in the Auckland Theater Company's Christmas pantomime 'Babes in the Woods', followed quickly by playing the Artful Dodger in a professional production of Oliver.

At 10, he transitioned into television by getting into 'You Guys', New Zealand's version of the 'Mouseketeers' and performed in various TV series, and the Royal Variety Performance for the Queen, and were so popular they got their own show.
Stefan started playing piano at 3, and by 13 he started winning various music competitions, including best song, and best lyrics in the Australasian song competition (against adults). He also won Shazam's TV show's best song competition, and eventually the National Battle of the Bands competition.

He worked as a voice actor while studying music at school and university, and during the holiday played a tap dancing policeman in a touring show of a British children's classic 'Noddy'.

At 22, Stefan moved to England and became a dance music producer releasing tracks on London's top dance music labels, which led to DJing and producing diverse live events, where he made the cover of Wired as the poster boy for the Zippie movement.

Then Stefan moved to LA and became a music producer at 4th Street Recording Studios where he worked with 4th Street's famous clientele. He arranged, played multiple instruments, and sung harmonies on most of the tracks he's produced, and also worked extensively with actors and directors doing voiceovers, dialog and music for soundtracks.
Stefan's emphasis on interactivity and audience participation was originally developed at Burning Man, an experimental city that encourages participation, radical inclusiveness, and radical self expression. Over the years Stefan has taken many bands, theater projects, and theme camps there to interact with Burning Man's fun, creative and highly receptive crowd.

In 2003, Stefan's experience with interactive theater landed him a job at the Lollapalooza festival working with festival founder Perry Farrell and the South Park creators to prank the crowds in a high tech game using giant video screens, text messaging and undercover actors to create the world's first flash mobs. He was also MC for improv comedy stage 'Booty Camp'.
Stefan then founded his own guerrilla theater company called the Department of Mental Technology where they performed bizarre psychological tests on the audience. Stefan was Head (mad) Scientist and MC, doing improv comedy with the 'mental patients' volunteers from the audience, as well as singing, dancing and playing multiple instruments.

Stefan's latest show 'Santa's Secret' is a high tech immersive musical that combines live theater actors with animated hologram characters, all of whom interact with the audience inside an immersive 360º video-dome theater. He's written the songs and script, and produced, sung and acted all the characters in this demo: www.SantasSecret.club
